Springtime Flowers

We love shopping at Trader Joes especially in May! When they have peonies in stock the price is amazing - 6.99 for 5 stems. Even wholesale prices often cost 3 times as much! They always carry them in beautiful hot pink and blush tones too. Arranging them is easy as they shine all on their own.

Happy Memorial weekend! We hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend whether it be having a BBQ or just relaxing at home.

Love Endures

Happy Valentine's Day! Today is the perfect day to share our most recent project: an inspiration photo shoot with the theme of Love Endures.

We were extremely honored when our good friend from Events by Tiffie asked us to collaborate on this photo shoot. We loved her concept that Love Endures. During a wedding there is love between a couple but also the love among their close family and friends. Love lasts through sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, love endures all things, and that makes love beautiful.

The entire shoot was styled and coordinated by Tiffie. We were lucky to work with a team of talented vendors who made sure each detail aligned with the concept. Not only did we work with our friend, but Alice's husband from Bryan Nabong Photography!

The dress was a piece from Stella York from BoLee Bridal Boutique. It had a very romantic feel with the tulle skirt and lace details. We especially loved the buttons on the back of the dress. It was modern yet timeless.

With any wedding it's important for each element to come together for a cohesive design. Given the theme, color palette of pinks/gold, and the dress, we knew we wanted the flowers to be in pinks/cream, and have soft and fluffy textures. Our arrangements centered around the use of juliet roses which we absolutely adore. The layers of their petals are beautiful and unique. Here is the the bouquet with light pink/peachy juliet roses, cream and pink roses, white ranunculus, and white freesia.

Here is the gorgeous model in a couple of our favorite photos. We think every bride should have a sofa to take photos on right?

All the paper goods used in the shoot were designed by With a Touch of Grace. Here is a picture of the invitation with a single juliet rose.

We were lucky to have this photo shoot take place in a private residence in Belmont Hills. The backyard provided an amazing view; offering the perfect location for the table setup. Our centerpieces included many of the same flowers used in the bouquet, and we also incorporated light pink stock. For the containers we found glass vases and added gold glitter. It was very easy to diy with spray glue and loose glitter that we purchased from Michaels.

For the placecard holders, Tiffie requested mini terrariums! We filled small glass containers with sand and a single rose. They were one of our favorite details from the shoot.

For the dessert table, the talented pastry chef provided red velvet cupcakes with pink rosette frosting, pink colored French macarons, raspberry tarts, and heart shaped cookies. Tiffie also filled hugs and kisses in apothecary jars. Since we knew there was going to be a wide variety of delectable bites, it was important to keep the flower design minimal but still cute. Roses in a set of 3 mercury votive containers completed our look. We are now obsessed with these containers by the way!

We hope you enjoyed our post and we wish each of you a Valentine's day full of LOVE.
