Amy + Dan

We are so lucky to work with the best couples! It had been awhile since we did a wedding. This past year we each had pretty big moments of our own a baby and a marriage! We were so excited to work again and happy it was with Amy and Dan. We met them on a Saturday afternoon at CafĂ© Venetia in Palo Alto. Right off the bat they were extremely friendly and Dan even bought us a plate of cookies to share! Needless to say we liked them right away. For this wedding we also had the pleasure of working with Stellify Events. The owner, Stefanie, is one of our dear friend's sister and is awesome. She brings a level of professionalism and energy to every event.

The couple chose Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park for their venue. We had never been but found it absolutely charming during a walk through; rustic with lots of natural foliage surrounding the ceremony and reception areas.

They described their wedding colors as those of a peacock; shades of blue and teal. The bouquets and boutonnieres had to complement these bold colors. With Amy wearing an all lace dress we also wanted the bouquet to have a vintage feel. To accomplish this we chose light romantic shades and incorporated queen anne's lace and dusty miller.

We made a similar bouquet for the bridesmaids but swapped out the peonies for dahlias and freesia.

The venue already has a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony, so it only needed a few extra touches. We added an arrangement to a table in the front for candles. To make it stand out we added French anenomes. Then we decorated the aisle with cream and blush rose petals.

In the reception area the use of navy tablecloths went great with their palette. We alternated simple all white orchid centerpieces with the below arrangements. Another wonderful wedding which reminded us how lucky and happy we are to be a part of such a special moment in peoples' lives.
